In your chosen career, it is important to stay pain free and mobile. Having Somatic Education will help you to do this. You will be able to use the Somatic Exercises to help yourself even while you are at work. Knowing you can "fix" your own pain is a very liberating feeling. You will still want to enjoy a massage, or acupuncture or even chiropractic work, but when it's the middle of the night or you are driving your car its great to know how to help yourself in the moment you need it.
Adding Somatic Exercises to your practice will be super beneficial for your clients/patients. You will be able to teach them the same "tools" that you yourself are using. Teaching them the exercises will help them with habitual issues that keep coming back. Sometimes a client/patient may begin to think that the service you are offering isn't working, because they keep having the same issue. This is when Somatic Exercises will come in very handy. Teaching your client/patient exercises to help them with habitual patterns (that could be postural or work related) will allow them to find their own freedom of movement, lessening their pain and helping to correct whatever postural or habitual pattern they have created within themselves. Thus allowing them to enjoy your service again, without constantly coming for the exact same issue.
